This type of joint can be used when the plate has a minimum thickness of 1 mm. Studs, that are welded on the back of the sheet, are often used for attaching stainless steel panels in a substructure. The different materials (if used) should be separated from stainless steel with non-metallic washers and bushes. When the joint is subject to moisture it is recommended that the type of fastener material having at least an equivalent quality stainless steel that should be merged. These are made with different types of stainless steels. In applications where it is preferable to opt for a mechanical joining is possible using different fasteners.
